چکیده

Background Staphylococcus aureus ( S. ) is the most common causative agent of burn wound infection, that often leads to high morbidity and mortality. However, there not enough knowledge about molecular epidemiology antimicrobial susceptibility isolates from infections in Fujian, China. Methods Between 2016 2021, 90 were collected China, including 59 methicillin-resistant (MRSA) strains 31 methicillin-susceptible (MSSA) strains. These investigated for characteristics, virulence genes, biofilms, susceptibility. All genotyped by multilocus sequence typing (MLST), spa typing, agr SCC mec typing. Conventional PCR was performed detection genes. Biofilm formation capacity assessed tissue culture plate assay (TCP). The evaluated using dilution method. Results In total, 37 types (ST) 34 Staphylococcal protein A (including a new type named -t20720) identified based on (MLST) respectively. CC8-ST239-t030- I-SCC III (57.6%,34/59) CC7-ST7-t091- I (16.1%, 5/31) represented main clone MRSA MSSA isolates, Antibiotic testing significant difference resistance rates between ST239 non-ST239 p < 0.05). Twelve genes detected, which icaA icaD (both 100%), followed icaB icaC 96.7%), icaR (95.6%), lukED (81.1%), lukAB (62.2%), pvl (50%), hlgBC (26.7%), eta (4.4%). Moreover, , I, significantly correlated with severity less likely, compared carry lukAB, type, t20720, contains icaD, has strong biofilm ability. Conclusion CC7-ST-7-t091- prevalent signatures newly -t20720 isolate, carries wide range ability, requires special clinical attention.

Molecular Typing and Phenotype Characterization of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Isolates from Blood in Taiwan

BACKGROUND Staphylococcus aureus causes a variety of severe infections such as bacteremia and sepsis. At present, 60-80% of S. aureus isolates from Taiwan are methicillin resistant (MRSA). It has been shown that certain MRSA clones circulate worldwide. The goals of this study were to identify MRSA clones in Taiwan and to correlate the molecular types of isolates with their phenotypes. METHODS...

detection of icaad gene and biofilm formation in staphylococcus aureus isolates from wound infections

wound infections are a common cause of staphylococcal infections. an ability of s.aureus is to adhere and form biofilm on host surfaces. biofilm is an exopolysaccharide, a slime matrix around multiple layers of cells and is mediated by expression of the icaadbc operon. the present study evaluated the biofilm forming capacity and the presence of icaad gene among s.aureus isolated from wound infe...

Molecular Diagnosis and Characterization of Bacillus subtilis Isolated from Burn Wound in Iran

Background: Bacillus subtilis refers to stretched and sometimes curved, gram-positive, aerobic, and catalase-positive bacilli, which has thermo-resistant endospores. It has been known as a normal flora in the human but can be pathogens In the case of opportunistic. Also, it can be the pathogen of nosocomial infections such as wound among hospitalized patients. Purpose of this study was to ident...

Molecular characterization and panton-valentine leucocidin typing of community-acquired methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus clinical isolates.

Limited comprehensive molecular typing data exist currently for Panton-Valentine leucocidin (PVL)-positive, methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (PVL-MSSA) clinical isolates. Characterization of PVL-MSSA isolates by multilocus sequence typing (MLST) and spa typing in this study showed a genetic similarity to PVL-positive, methicillin-resistant S. aureus (PVL-MRSA) strains, although three...
